Første kig på filmudgaven af “Mulan”

Starlight International har udsendt den første håndfuld billeder af Zhao Wei (“The Battle of Red Cliff”) som den kinesiske folkeheltinde Hua Mulan i deres nye live-action-eventyr “Mulan”, om legenden, der har opnået stor popularitet i den vestlige verden gennem Disneys animerede film. Billederne af Mulan i sit krigerkostume kan ses online her.

Hong Kong-instruktøren Jingle Ma står for instruktionen på filmen, der tidligere havde Stanley Tong bag kameraet.

Wei blev bekræftet til rollen som den handlekraftige pige i sidste måned, hvor bl.a. Zhang Ziyi, Michelle Yeoh og Liu Yifei tidligere var blandt kandidaterne til at spille den modige transvestit.

I rollen som den unge udgave af Mulan finder man Xu Jiao fra Stephen Chows “CJ7”. På rollelisten finder man desuden Chen Kun, mens den russiske popsanger Vitas optræder i en cameo-rolle.

Filmen er for tiden i produktion i Hebeiprovinsen.

lol har aldrig vidst at de ville insture Mulan ser rimelig skod ud.

Jeg er stadig igang med en 3 måneders lang modgift kur, involverende en 24/7 intravenøs behandling med en blanding af beriget rhodium og rester af uran stave fra de store russiske Murmansk ubåde, efter at have set det eminente lorte epos, Red Cliff. Jeg sidder lige denne over.

#5 Arh, det er satme en tynd kilde på nr. 2. Det lyder lidt mere som et skud i tågen end noget andet. Mulans alder er ikke angivet i nogle kilder. Myten stammer fra et kinesisk digt om en pige, der klædte sig ud som en mand og deltog i kamp. Der er ingen historiske kilder ud over digtet. Intet indikerer hendes alder:

By the doorway mulan weaves.

When Mulan came out to meet her battle companions,
They were all astounded and thrown into bewilderment.
Together they had been in the army for a dozen years or so,
Yet none had known that Mulan was actually a girl.
The male rabbit kicks its fluffy feet as it scampers,
The eyes of female rabbit are blurred by fluffy tufts of hair,
But when they run side by side in the field,
You can hardly tell the doe from the buck!

tegnefilmene er gode men den kan ikke blive god med rigtige skuespillere
