The Film Noir Collection, Vol. 1 A San Francisco detective traces a series of seemingly random killings to a sharp-eyed loner who uses his rifle as a means to exact deadly revenge on the women who have rejected him, in The Sniper (1952). Phil Carey, Dorothy Malone, E.G. Marshall co-star. A man falsely accused of robbery and murder goes on the run, persuading the woman he loves and an insurance investigator to help find the real culprits and clear his name, in Nightfall (1957). Aldo Ray, Brian Keith, Anne Bancroft star. The Brothers Rico (1957) finds a former Mafia accountant pulled back into the dangerous world of organized crime when he learns that the Mob and the cops are looking for his brother. With Richard Conte, Dianne Foster. And, an escaped convict comes into possession of a deadly radioactive substance, in City of Fear (1959). Can the authorities track him down before it either kills him or destroys all of Los Angeles? With Vince Edwards, Lyle Talbot, John Archer. Also includes In a Lonely Place.

Det er der mange, mange, der ønsker. Og spørgsmålet er også, hvem den her boks egentligt henvender sig til, for de fleste fans af enten Criterions eller Kurosawa vil jo nok have de ordinære udgaver på hylden i forvejen (med undtagelse af de få nye titler, der er eksklusive for boksen)?
Mht. HD-udgaver, så siger jungletrommerne, at den japanske rettighedshaver sidder tungt på dem og ikke vil lade nogen andre udgive dem, før de har været ude i Japan i minimum 6 mdr. Det skulle bl.a. være derfor, Criterion pludseligt mistede rettighederne til RAN, efter de først havde annonceret den på BD i foråret. Dvs. at Kurosawa på Criterion-BD tidligst kan ske engang næste år. Hvis det så overhovedet kommer til at ske. Criterion har nemlig også luftet, at de ikke sælger særligt mange BD'er og derfor stort set intet tjener på dem, og lige så vigtigt, at BD'erne ikke har skaffet nye kunder i butikken, men blot betydet et fald i salget af dvd-udgaverne.

Nogen der har set In Bruges? Er den virkelig så god? Har set den på forskellige lister bl.a. IMDB250, så overvejer at se den, men er bare ikke så meget til Colin Farrell.
