UGO: Why didn't you get to do a cameo in this one?
SL: I'm surprised it did the business it did without me being in it. But they shot it where I wasn't in the neighborhood, so I wasn't able to travel there. The same thing happened with The Punisher [which was shot in Florida]. I was supposed to be in that one but I couldn't make it to Tampa. I know it will be a big setback for the movie, but I have to live with these things.
UGO: Well, for X2, you were already locked into the character of the guy at the beach from X-Men 1.
SL: [laughs] It took a long time for Bryan Singer to give me my motivation for that scene. But I have a big cameo in Spider-Man 2. I have a line to say, if they don't cut it.
