My point is that some words or expressions exist that are pointless to translate directly and use as is. Some times you have to make modifications so that the meaning remains intact. So before you ask me what's wrong with anglicisms I would like you to take a look at one of the monstrosities anglicisms has added to our language. Take a word like Rollemodel. That's just wrong. As you know it originates from the English word Role Model but people tend to forget that we already have the danish word Forbillede that has been the preferred translation for years.
I don't mind if you write in English. If it's more convenient for you then all power to you. What I object to is when Danish and English are tossed around and mixed like a salad to the point where it all sounds like dialog from The Julekalender. Every man has a breaking point. Cool and Bad-ass are adjectives. Use them all you want. But please try to the greatest extent of your abilities to translate the rest of the word classes so that they give a proper meaning. How would you for instance translate the classic line The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few?
