Intensiteten er høj, og det er underholdningsfaktoren bestemt også. Skuddueller og snerrende skurke alene gør ikke en film spændende, og “Dredd” har da også meget mere end det. Den har en god dosis selvsatire og high-tech æstetik samt en lyst til at lege med mediet og skabe et univers, som virkelig suger sit publikum til sig. At den samtidig er interesseret i alle sine karakterer og intelligent nok til at kunne tåle en god gang filmvidenskabelig analyse kan kun betegnes som plusser. Men mest af alt er “Dredd” simpelthen bare forbandet god underholdning.

GARLAND: Yeah, I really, I don’t understand why people are kind of jumpy about re-shoots, it’s a perfectly legitimate thing to do-

And then if you’re lucky you get a chance to go back and get it. There were two extended scenes that were re-shot, that were not in the main body of the shoot. One was the introduction to Dredd, really, where he corners a guy in a shopping mall and uses a kind of incendiary bullet to take him down. That was a completely different new scene that didn’t exist before. And the other was at the final moments of the film when Dredd and his antagonist Ma-Ma, played by the incredible Lena Headey, finally come face to face. We stretched that scene quite considerably, because it needed it. We were lucky that Lionsgate and IM Global were willing to back the movie sufficiently to give us more money to get some more stuff.

En masse flotte effekter i slow-mo. Dog er der lige en tand for mange af dem, så man når at få fornemmelsen af, at de har forsøgt at forlænge filmen :(
Der er naturligvis ikke de store skuespiller præstationer, men Urban giver den sq meget godt som urokkelig Judge Dredd.
Der er ikke så mange overraskelses momenter i filmen, men der er underholdning i form af en masse skyderier fra start til slut.
Giver den 2/6 stjerner, men er man blot ude efter at skulle underholdes, er den klart seværdig.

Same here.. Jeg har stadig svær ved at tro på 5 stjerner, men til ca 60kr/billetten, kan det ikke gå helt galt.

Så hvis du skulle rate den i en underholdnings skala, er det så de 5 stjerner eller de 4? Istedet for se på den med de film kritiske briller 8) Ikke at der noget galt i det, regner squ ikke med det her en film man smider under films historiens mesterværker!
