Now his lifetime of achievement is presented in a specially designed collectable boxset. It includes 30 discs, including classics such as The Seventh Seal, Persona, The Virgin Spring and Autumn Sonata. Additionally, as an exclusive to the boxset there are two previously unreleased titles, Dreams (1955) where a fashion editor and model both reflect on past lovers, and Farodokument '79, an affectionate tribute to the Faro islanders of his adopted home. Selvom han befinder sig på min top-10 over favoritinstrutører, synes jeg han har lavet for mange middelmådige film. Desuden har Criterion et godt udbud af hans allerbedste, og jeg ofrer gerne en ekstra skilling for at få deres kvalitetsstempel.
#8 - Jeg er også superglad for mine Bergman Criterions. Især tv-serierne. Det er kun et par af de alderældste udgivelser, der måske ikke helt holder op til dagens standard. Jeg vil i de fleste tilfælde hellere vente på, at Criterion når rundt omkring dem, jeg mangler, end at købe dem hovedkuls fra et andet selskab. Når det er sagt, så er de nordiske dvd'er generelt da også fine, med enkelte undtagelser. Jeg har da overvejet at købe SF's "Persona", når den falder i pris.
