A footnote: I was shooting a “hit” scene in this movie where I play a hitman, and we were in between takes, when this street bum comes staggering in to the closed set which was a genuine public toilet. He sees the stunt guy lying in a pool of blood in the urinal, and me standing over him, still with silenced gun in hand and smoking a cigarette. To this day, I will never forget this poor man’s face as he took in the scene before him, only to run screaming from the toilet with me chasing after him trying to catch up with him and explain. It was only when I got outside and starting down the street did it hit me: for those people on the street, was this real or was it fiction? I realised then that I like that feeling. I’m in the right business – just what business am I in…?
