Philip Pullmans fantasy-trilogi “His Dark Materials” er på vej som serie – manuskriptforfatter sammenligner hovedpersonen med Greta Thunberg.
Den ene er klimaaktivist i den virkelige verden, imens den anden kæmper for videnskaben i en fantasy-verden skabt af forfatter Philip Pullman. Men de har en del til fælles.
Det mener Jack Thorne, der har skrevet den nye BBC/HBO-serie “His Dark Materials”, som er baseret på Pullmans univers.
Thorne ser en tydelig parallel imellem “His Dark Materials”-hovedpersonen Lyra Belacqua og virkelighedens Greta Thunberg:
”Greta Thunberg… Lyra, der er en del ligheder,” siger Thorne ifølge The Hollywood Reporter.
Derfor er Philip Pullmans univers stadig relevant den dag i dag, mener Thorne.
Det er Dafne Keen (“Logan”), som er castet til rollen som Lyra, der er den centrale karakter i Sæson 1, som udspiller sig igennem otte afsnit.
