I anledningen af “The Blues Brothers” filmens 25 års jubilæum udsender Universal Studios 30. august en 2-disc Special Edition af filmen.
Filmen handler om Jake (John Belushi) og Elwood Blues (Dan Akroyd) der prøver at samle deres gamle Blues band sammen igen, for at kunne tjene penge nok til at redde det børnhjem, hvor de er opvokset.
Disc 1 vil indeholde en udvidet udgave af den oprindelige film i 1.85:1 med et DD 5.1 lydspor.
Dics 2 indeholder biografversionen af filmen og vil også blive i formatet 1.85:1, men med et DD 2.0 stereo lydformat.
Af ekstramateriale findes bl.a. en intro af Dan Akroyd, Behind the scenes, koncertoptagelser, og dokumentaren “Blues Brothers Fans”.
