Deer Hunter!!!! Efter at have set den, virker Saving Private Ryan og The Thin Red Line som en omgang sødsuppe-sæbeopera. Selvom jeg godt kan lide de sidstnævnte film, så synes jeg, at Deer Hunter er så barsk og rå, at det næsten er uudholdeligt, at se på. RIGTIG fed krigsfilm. Se den før din fars eneste søn.
Jeg hører vist til blandt den yngre del af Filmz.dk's brugerer, for en meget stor del af de film i snakker om har jeg aldrig fået set. Den eneste jeg har set er vist "Apocalypse Now Redux", og der slukkede jeg efter 30. minutter. ... syntes det var meget mere intressant at se græs gro!

#33 Visuelt er det nok også den bedste, kun Saving Private Ryan kommer tæt på.
Rent indholdsmæssigt vil jeg nok sige Apocalypse Now Redux (har ikke set originalen) og Deer Hunter, da de begge omhandler de fysiske såvel som de psykiske effekter krigen i Vietnam havde. Det gør SPR også, bare ikke i nær den samme grad

Godt der ikke er nogen der har nævnt "Windtalkers", så er jeg nok nød til at gå amok. :)
Og #33, Apocalypse starter meget roligt ud, men efter ca 1 time eller sådan noget, så kommer der virkeligt krig og rædsel på skærmen. Og hvis du, mod forventning, får kæmpet dig til slutningen så er der de fedeste citater fra en vis Marlon Brando:

Perfect, genuine, complete, crystalline, pure. And then I realized they were stronger than we. Because they could stand that these were not monsters. These were men... trained cadres. These men who fought with their hearts, who had families, who had children, who were filled with love... but they had the strength... the strength... to do that. If I had ten divisions of those men our troubles here would be over very quickly. You have to have men who are moral... and at the same time who are able to utilize their primordial instincts to kill without feeling... without passion... without judgment... without judgment. Because it's judgment that defeats us.
Jeg kan blive ved med at se den film, bare for at se den passage igen og igen.. :)
