Nå ja, der er jo meget man kan. :)

Men det svarer vel lidt til at forstørre et frimærke op til A4-størrelse, og ovenikøbet et frimærke der er dårligt trykt til at starte med.

At billedet kan være lidt fuzzy, er en ting, men at køre klip fra Youtube i bare 1280x1024, som jeg gør på arbejdet, er slemt nok. Hvis de så skal op i full HD, bliver det jo en noget surrealistisk oplevelse. :)

Jeg besluttede mig for at skrive lidt om GH/Rock band guitar pros/cons og kompatibilitet på et andet forum - det vil jeg da lige smide herind. Det er ganske vidt på engelsk, men det går vel nok ;)


From researching the matter rather thoroughly, I would like to write a bit about Guitar Hero functionality and compatibility issues in case you're considering buying Guitar Hero and perhaps even considering which console to purchase it for.

If you have no console and, like myself, fell in love with the game and want to buy it or just generally curious, here are your options:

PS2
Guitar games available: GH1, GH2, GH3, GH Aerosmith, Rock Band (being released this summer in EU)
Pros
- Cheapest (both games and console)
- Guitars 100% reliable, although GH1/2 guitars are more plastic-y.
Cons
- No downloadable content, no option to play online
- Rock Band isn't out yet in EU for PS2.

PS3
Guitar games available: GH3, GH Aerosmith, Rock Band (being released this summer in EU)
(If you have an old 60gb model, GH1+2 might run, but you will need converters for your controllers)
Pros
- Downloadable content and online play
Non-GH related pros:
- BluRay drive (if you're a movie geek like me)
- Online store
- Various exclusive content - fairly limited still
Cons
- Guitar not 100% reliable (sometimes misses notes and star power activated too easily - will not affect casual players)
- Rock Band isn't out yet in EU for PS3! One can import the US version though, which works like a charm.
- GH3/RB Guitars not compatible
Yep, for some obscure reason, the guitars for GH don't work for RB and vice versa. There is a solution however, which is a PS2 guitar and a TAC converter. Note that this is the only PS2->PS3 controller converter which works well with the guitar games. The random converters available at game stores won't work. A PS2 guitar connected via the TAC converters is compatible with both the GH and RB games on PS3.

X-Box 360
Guitar games available: GH2 (through which most GH1 songs are available via download), GH3, GH Aerosmith, Rock Band (already out)
Pros
- Downloadable content and online play
- For now, the online interface seems to work better than the PS3 network.
Non-GH related pros:
- Very well established console with lots of games and online content
- GH3 guitars are fully compatible with Rock Band, but not the other way around.
- Guitars are compatible (possibly identical?) to the PC version.
Cons
- Rock Band Guitar doesn't work for GH.

Wii
Guitar games available: GH3, GH Aerosmith, Rock Band
Pros
- Cheap console
- Online play
Cons
- Guitar not 100% reliable (buttons harder to press making it unnecessarily difficult to play on hard/expert and sometimes misses notes and star power activated too easily - will not affect casual players)
- No downloadable songs yet, but on some of the games, few of the downloadable songs for the other platforms are included in the base game on Wii

PC
GH/RB should be played on a console.


Compatibility
As you can see, compatibility is one of the major issues - here is an overview of the different consoles and the guitar compatibility. Remember though, that the TAC converter will turn any PS2 guitar into a PS3 guitar (more reliable than the native GH3 guitar) compatible with both Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
