Den var nomineret til hele 11 BAFTA-priser, men “La La Land” måtte nøjes med fem af slagsen, da den britiske filmbranche her til aften uddelte BAFTA for 70. gang.

Til gengæld var det i de store kategorier, at Oscar-favoritten “La La Land” tog sine britiske priser hjem. Bedste film, instruktør, kvindelig hovedrolle, fotografering og naturligvis musik gik til den amerikanske musical.
Med to priser hver blev “Lion” og “Manchester by the Sea” aftenens andre store vindere, imens en anden Oscar-favorit, kritiker-favoritten “Moonlight”, måtte gå tomhændet hjem.
Den internationale award-sæson afrundes om to uger, når Oscar uddeles. Også her forventes “La La Land” at løbe med flertallet af priserne.
