I begyndelsen af 2017 byder Jimmy Fallon velkommen til d. 74. udgave af Golden Globes, der uddeles af den udenlandske presse i Hollywood. Og her kan “Deadpool” ganske overraskende risikere at løbe med hele to priser.

Det er ellers ikke normalt for superheltefilm at være i spil til de fine filmpriser, men ikke desto mindre er “Deadpool” nomineret til årets bedste komedie samt Ryan Reynolds i kategorien for bedste mandlige komedieskuespiller.
“Whiplash”-instruktøren Damien Chazelles film, “La La Land”, må dog siges at være den store favorit med hele syv nomineringer.
Der blev ikke nogen dansk nominering til “Under sandet” blandt de fremmedsprogede film, men derimod fik Viggo Mortensen en nominering for sin dramahovedrolle i “Captain Fantastic”.
Selv om mange tror det, så der ingen direkte sammenhæng imellem Golden Globes og så Oscar, idet førstnævnte altså uddeles af pressen, imens Oscar er branchens pris. Således vandt “The Revenant” sidste år hos Golden Globes, imens “Spotlight” tog sig af Oscar.
Dog er der som oftest et stort overlap imellem de nominerede hos Golden Globes og Oscar, så det skader bestemt ikke en films Oscar-chancer at blive nomineret hos Golden Globes.
